How will you choose the next book you read?
For me, the best bet for choosing a new book to read, is a recommendation from someone that I know loves the type of books I like to read. I'm sure you've found yourself in the situation where you are talking to someone and you realise that you've both read and loved the books of a particular author, or genre. The conversation continues ... "if you enjoyed those books then you will love this one."
WhatAreYouReading.co.uk will be a FREE community based Website for book lovers. Over the next few months this site will grow into a valuable resource that you will want to visit again and again.
The philosophy behind this site is simple.
"Likeminded readers sharing thoughts, views and recommendations about books they have read."
Some of the features of this site will be:
Create your own 'bookshelf', that contains details of books that you have previously read.
Rate and apply comments to the books on your bookshelf.
The system will match your bookshelf against other users bookshelves to find other users who have enjoyed the same books as you have. These users will probably have read a whole set of books that you have missed and would love.
Who is reading the same book as you are right now? The system will let you set up a discussion group with these people.
Most importantly, the site will provide links direct to the Amazon bookstore for all books on user's bookshelves, so when you see a book that another user (who has similiar tastes to you) has highly rated, you can click straight through to Amazon to make a purchase.
I am currently busy setting up the main site, but would like to invite you to register your interest.
